For 30 years, talented volunteers have been helping those recovering from or battling cancer with the annual Hee-Haw benefit shows. Fugitive captured by FBI, US Marshals

Vincent Garner, 53, was captured by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Marshals at a home in Sequatchie County Tuesday evening, July 16.     Several sessions and meetings are planned this year for Sequatchie County High School seniors. On Tuesday, September 5 in the high school auditorium, a college info session will be held at 6:00 p.m. A financial aid and college planning session is planned for Monday, September 11 in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday, September 14, a college fair (open to all grades and the community) will be held in the commons area of the high school from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. FAFSA Night is set for Tuesday, October 10 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the school’s computer lab. TN Promise meetings (mandatory for students only) will be held Tuesday, October 25 and Tuesday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the high school.

    Cowboy Church on second Saturdays

    Cowboy Church at the Tennessee Guest Ranch is held on the second Saturday of each month, through November, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with food, fellowship and fun. The next church service is planned for April 8 and includes free pony rides for children 12 and under, chuck wagon chow appetizers for the family and meet the horses in the stables. At 6:00 p.m., its Cowboy Church with a live horse presentation, music and a message (rain or shine, indoor facilities available).
