Smoking, while oxygen in use, cited for residence fire

Smoking while utilizing oxygen from a breathing machine was determined to be the cause of a fire at a Cline Road residence on November 19, Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD) Chief Norman Hatfield reported.     Babysitting Rocks is a curriculum designed for youth in grades 7 -12 to develop their skills in the field of child care. Topics covered will include the babysitter’s roles and responsibilities, behavior management techniques, problem solving, handling emergencies and first aid, communicating with parents and managing money. Classes will be offered June 7 -8 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Citizens Tri-County Training Room. Cost for the two-day workshop is $30.
