On Sunday, March 19 and 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the Brayton Seventh-day Adventist Church will be holding a Reversing Diabetes seminar at the Brayton-Hendon Community Center. Healthcare professionals will be present to measure blood sugar levels and blood pressure levels among other services. There is a $25 fee for instruction materials (assistance is available). This seminar will be followed by a series of meetings on preventive healthcare to be announced at a later date and will be free of charge. On March 20, the Sequatchie County UT Extension will be offering an Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program, an 8-week program designed for people with arthritis to reduce pain and stiffness, help maintain or improve mobility, muscle strength, memory, and balance. Individuals of all ages and mobility levels can benefit from the low-impact course. Classes will be held every Monday at 4:30 p.m. for one hour. The cost of the course is $48.00.
