Marla King, an education advisor with EOC, who formerly assisted students at the Chattanooga State Sequatchie/Bledsoe campus, will now be scheduling appointments at the Sequatchie County/Dunlap Chamber of Commerce on Thursdays, by appointment, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. General education courses are offered at both Sequatchie and Bledsoe County High Schools. The center serves Bledsoe, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie counties, and can assist with adult high school completion programs, choosing a college and a major, filing for FAFSA, searching for scholarships and grants, and overcoming federal student loan default.     Benefit dinner for Randy Layne

    A benefit dinner and bake sale for Randy Layne, who is taking dialysis three days a week due to kidney failure, will be held Friday, October 6 at Palmer Church of God (1898 Main Street).     An indoor church sale will be held Friday and Saturday, October 6 – 7 at Lighthouse Baptist Church (corner of Oak and Third in Dunlap), beginning at 8:00 a.m. They will have fall clothes, jackets for men, women and children, men’s suits, dress pants, jeans, glassware and more. All proceeds go to the church.
