Hixson honored for decades of election service

“Things have really changed, for the better,” said Mary Frances Hixson, who recently retired from the Sequatchie County Election Commission after serving 42 years.

Hixson, speaking on the election process, said technology has made things much easier from when she began in 1981. She followed in the footsteps of her father, also an election commission member.
