Thousands enjoy parade, July 4 events

Lining Rankin Avenue and a portion of Cherry Street, one of the largest crowds in recent memory, enjoyed the annual July 4 parade, sponsored by the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad. Despite the humidity, children and families turned out in numbers to view floats, horses and riders, fire engines, the band, and enjoy the activities of the day.
