Portion of Highway 127 closed due to diesel spill

Highway 127/Rankin Avenue in Dunlap from Church Street to the Highway 127/28 intersection was closed Monday morning, August 9 due to a truck spilling diesel fuel, the Dunlap Police Department reported. The Tennessee Department of Transportation and a hazardous materials crew have been contacted. The portion of the highway will remain closed until further notice and drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route.
