Philip Hixson

Philip A. Hixson, 91, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away May 28, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Ewtonville Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was a lifelong farmer and a veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudelle Hixson; son, John Hixson; and sister, Betty Jean Pearce

He is survived by his daughter, Dixie (Steve) Hedrick, Sparta; granddaughter, Sarah Hedrick, Sparta; sister, Margaret Ann Fairchild, Hixson; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Landi Hood and Karen Knott.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brian Kearns officiating. Burial was in Sequatchie Memorial Community Gardens.
