Bradford brings home three medals, including State title
Putting in countless hours of work throughout the year has paid off with a state championship for Sequatchie County High School junior Carter Bradford. The track standout earned SCHS’s seventh state title in individual or team sports with his 1600-meter performance May 25, while also earning two other medals for high finishes.
The son of Jeremy and Christa Bradford had top performances throughout the 2021 track season while running against tough competition in Chattanooga area meets. He carried the momentum into the “Spring Fling,” the TSSAA’s spring sports festival taking place last week in Murfreesboro.
Bradford’s 1600-meter time at Rockvale High School in Murfreesboro was not his personal best, but it was more than enough to get the win. He ran at 4:32.43, more than four seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Fairview High School.
