I just found this posting and am truly unhappy.

Alfred Lorne Baumgardner was my Uncle ‘Bud’. His Dad was Alpheus Lester Baumgardner or Al. Uncle Bud was Alfred Lorne Baumgardner, also Al. Growing up he was known as Alfred Lorne ‘Buddy’ Baumgardner Jr thus the name Bud although he was no Jr.

He was my Mom’s younger brother. Mom is still alive and at the active age of 95, lives in Waco, Texas. Also surviving are myself, Lawrence Dale Sanders (USMC Retired) my brother James Randall Sanders (US Army Retired) and our sister Lois Anne Sanders. None of us was informed of his passing. That’s terribly sad.

Uncle Bud was preceded in death not only by his first wife Ilema (Mabel in Hawai’i) but also by his parents Alpheus Lester Baumgardner and Ruby Mae Zea Baumgardner. They are buried at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas.

Also resting in Rosemound cemetery are Uncle Bud’s brother-in-law James Sanders born in Coalmont, Tennessee and his niece Linda Sue Sanders Junghans born in Manchester, Tennessee.

Bud served and was wounded in Korea during the Korean war and served in Vietnam as well. He came from a long line of warriors who served this great nation. His family was large and their legacy was quite extensive.

Neither my mother, myself, my brother James or sister Lois were notified of Bud’s passing and the picture posted is absolutely NOT that of my Uncle Alfred Lorne ‘Bud’ Baumgardner. That is also quite sad.

Rest IN Peace Uncle Bud. We all miss you.
