Myrtle Sims Christian
Myrtle Sims Christian, 91, of Dunlap, passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hackworth; second husband, I.G. Christian; daughter, Vina Ellen Hackworth, granddaughters,Terri Ellen Hackworth, and Britany Grace Powell; sister, Ruth Maddox.
Survivors include her son, Frank (Audrey) Hackworth, Spring City; daughters, Paulette Hackworth, Bertie (Scrap) Layne, and Grace (Larry) Powell, all of Whitwell; brothers, Lawrence (Ramah) Carmack, Whitwell, Joe (Dean) Carmack, Sale Creek, and Ray (Jackie) Carmack, Chattanooga; sisters, Ella Clark, Mississippi, Alice (Pat) Jones, Dunlap, Faye Hardin, Whitwell, and Melinda (Robert) Hall, Signal Mountain; special niece and nephew, Vickie and Darrel Seals; special friend, Dennis Atterton; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. CDT Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the gravesite in Condra Cemetery with Bro. Terry Barker officiating. Visitation is 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
