Carolyn Yeargen

Martha Carolyn Higgins Yeargan, 81, of Dunlap, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clarence William Yeargan; parents Jim and Mattie Marrow Higgins; and two sisters.

Carolyn’s most cherished memories were with her children, Fonda Smith, Betty (Gary) Spangler, Annette (Kenneth) Cross, Gina (Bobby) Smith, Gabe (Angie) Yeargan, and Max (Rhonda) Yeargan; grandchildren, Kim Ash, Kendra Layne, Keya Trent, Caleb Yeargan, Brook Goforth, Hailey Raulston, Tre’ Smith, Victoria Yeargan, and Kaden Yeargan; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Roddy.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 31 in the funeral home chapel with minister T.A. Smith officiating. Burial followed in Johnson-Stewart Cemetery.
