Cindy Johnson

Cindy Louise Johnson, 55, of Signal Mountain, passed away May 11, 2017. She was known to most as Nana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Charlotte Whitmire; grandparents, Ralph and Daisy Whitmire, and Chester and Mary Clayton; brother and sister, Tim and Karen Whitmire and Mary Jo Whitmire.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Johnson; children, Skip (Jennifer) Maples; step-son, Chris (Tara) Johnson; step-daughter, Paige Phillips, Anson and Tabi Mercier; dogs, Pearl and Sophie; sister, Teresa (Bobby); brother, Greg (Melissa) Whitmire; grandchildren, Tori and Kaylee Maples, Landon and Emma Johnson, Hannah, Ayden, Annabella, Austin Mercier, and Grayson Mercier; nieces and nephews, Missy, Andy, Jenna, Nicole, Josh, Carson and Andee.

Memorial services were held Monday May 15 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Pastor Rocky Bradford officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McKamey Animal Center.
