Sally Jane Hutton McKee, 80, of Ooltewah, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in a local hospital. The daughter of the late Robert Stuart Clark Hutton and Margaret Hurt Hutton, graduated from Virginia Intermont College and earned a B.A. from Emory & Henry and a M.A. in Library Science from George Peabody College. She worked at Wilmington Public Library, Carol Newman Library, Virginia Tech and Charleston County School System. She attended Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg and was a member of the Alter Guild. She was a member of General William Campbell Chapter and Judge David Campbell Chapter of the D.A.R. She was also a member of the Carolina Yacht Club of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, a volunteer Docent at the Edmonds Alston House in Charleston, South Carolina. Sally is survived by her husband of 55 years, William H. McKee of Ooltewah; sons, Raymond Robert McKee of Charleston, William Stuart (Cindy) McKee of Odenville, Alabama and Samuel Hutton McKee of Pikeville; grandsons, Ryan Stuart (Ardina) McKee of Fort Drum, New York and Tyler Norris McKee of Odenville; great-grandsons, Jacob O’Dell McKee and Kyle Ryan McKee, both of Ft. Drum; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Christ Church Episcopal in South Pittsburg on Monday, February 13 with Rev. Kim Hobby officiating.
