Denver Sims

Orbie Denver Sims, 82, of Dunlap, went home to be with The Lord, Saturday, February 11, 2017.

Mr. Sims served his country in the U.S. Army, and later retired from Alstom Power and Equipment, and the City of Dunlap. He was a member of Highway 28 Church of God.

Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Annie Kerley Sims; brothers, Olen Edward, Norman, and Kelly Lee Sims; and sisters, Dorothy Hinshaw and Bobbie Farley.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Price Sims; brothers, Edmond Sims and Donnie (Connie) Sims, Dunlap; sisters-in-law, Betty Sims, Smithville, and Jane Sims, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday February 13 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dan Rains and Bro. Lanny Tate officiating. Burial followed in Camp Cemetery. His nephews served as pallbearers
