Dylan Gage Griswold

Dylan Gage Griswold, age 12, of Franklin County, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.  

Born on December 4, 2003 in Tullahoma, Dylan loved Alabama Crimson Tide football.  He enjoyed playing video games, electronics, and with monster trucks, and he loved rock, country, and classical music. He also enjoyed fishing and participating in the Special Olympics. Dylan wanted to be a policeman when he grew up.  

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Paul Schwiger and John Griswold; and second cousin, Julie Schwiger.  

Dylan is survived by his mother, Tiffany Griswold of Tullahoma; grandmother, Gail Schwiger of Tullahoma; grandfather, Bobby (Joy) Griswold of Dunlap; great-grandparents, Jerry and Betty Spangler of Signal Mountain, and W.L. and Doris Johnson of Dunlap; uncles, B.J. (Amanda) Griswold, Nick (Heather) Griswold, Ryan (Meagan) Stephenson, and Lonnie (Melissa) Stephenson, all of Dunlap; aunt, Meagan Stephenson of Dunlap; and special friend, Jonathan Oliver of Winchester. 

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 15 at Standefer-Reed Funeral Home in Dunlap with Bro. Glen Thomas officiating. Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.

 The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Dylan Griswold Fund, c/o Citizens Tri-County Bank (at any location) to help with family expenses. 

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home of Winchester was in charge of arrangements.
