Hugh Baker

Hugh Baker, age 79, of Lusk Community in Pikeville, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home. He was a member of Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Carpenter Local 74. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Baker; parents, Emory Baker and Mildred Roberts; three sisters, Bobbie Roberson, Nina Blankenship, Vonda Miller; brother, Tony Baker.

He is survived by his six daughters, Beverly (Bryan) Suarez of Soddy Daisy, Treasa (Shane) Watkins of Knoxville, Melissa Baker and Joyce Baker of Pikeville, Tisha Baker of Carrollton, Georgia, and Mesha Baker of Florence, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Joyce Banks of Hoover, Alabama and Betty Jo (Johnny) Blankenship of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 26 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hubert Davis officiating. Burial was in Collier Cemetery.
