Lorraine DuBose

Lorraine Brodeur DuBose, age 94, of Pikeville, died peacefully, Wednesday, May 11, 2016.  

She was born August 7, 1921 in Concord, Vermont. She was employed by Pinellas County School System for over 20 years where she loved interacting with the children. She raised her family in Connecticut, Vermont and Gulfport, Florida. Upon retirement, she moved to Homassa, Florida where she and her husband, Elmer, traveled the 48 states in their RV. They also visited Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii and Europe numerous times.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lydia (Cote) Brodeur; sister, Lillian Skinner; brother, Philip Brodeur; and husband, Elmer C. DuBose.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Betty Brodeur of St. Petersburg, Florida; four children and their spouses, Gilbert Rainault of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, Kathleen Walker of Crystal River, Florida, Lynn and Raymond Beauregard of Pikeville, Robert and Margarete Rainault of Crystal Lake, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of her life on Thursday, May 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Whitwell Seventh Day Adventist Church, 546 S. Main Street, with Bro. Herb Ingersoll officiating.
