Stanley Johnson, age 66, of Dunlap, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Operating Engineers Local Union #917. He served in the
United States Army and was a Veteran of The Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Johnson; and brothers, Reece Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Carr (Dwayne Carr); grandson, Trevor Carr (Hannah Morgan); great-grandson, Luke Carr; mother, Dorothy Johnson; sisters, Lois Cagle and Wilma Lockhart; step-sisters, Martha Camp and Mary Newman; brothers, Lavern (Janie) Johnson, W.L. (Doris) Johnson, Ardell (Angie) Johnson, Gene Johnson, William Johnson, Leonard (Misty) Johnson, Roger (Geraldine) Johnson, and Paul (Shirley) Johnson; special nephew, Jeff (Carrie) Johnson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Gary Miller, John Hendricks, David Webb, Alfred Myers, and all his friends at McDonalds.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Lowry officiating. Burial was in Hixson Cemetery with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
