Jimmy Austin

Jimmy L. Austin, age 71, of Portage, Indiana, went to be with his Lord on February 1, 2016. He was born on June 6, 1944 in Dunlap. He was a member of Dunlap First Baptist Church, which he loved.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Dorothy Kilgore Austin and Radis Austin; and brothers, Jerry Austin and James Austin. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dottie Frizzell Austin; one daughter, Tina (Mike) Kerstanoff of Florida; sons, Jeff Austin, Michael Austin, David (Liz) Austin and Roger (Daun) Austin, all of Indiana; brother, Bobby (Avis) Austin of Dunlap; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Jimmy was a very loving man with a wonderful sense of humor who was very devoted to his family and his Savior.
