James Edward (Ed) Williams, age 93, of Dunlap, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
He was a member of Dunlap First Baptist Church and former member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He retired from Sears and also had been an accountant for different businesses and individuals. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Coast Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Houser Williams; parents, Hervey and Ethel Teeters Williams; brother, Lewis Williams; two sisters, Jessie Ricketts and Betty Boles; and great-nephew, Bryan Branson.
He is survived by his step-son, Mike (Cindy) Houser of Hixson; step-grandson, Andy Houser of Bryan, Texas; step-granddaughter, Claire Houser of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Lorene Williams; and brother-in-law, Earl Boles, both of Dunlap; nephew, Ron (Terri) Ricketts of Cleveland; two nieces, Lynn (Mike) Humphreys and Karen Clark, both of Kingston; several great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating. Burial is in Mansfield Cemetery.
