Billy “Bill” Joe Nolan, 76, of Signal Mountain, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He worked in the coal mines for ten years and then for the Town of Signal Mountain for nearly 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, grandson, great-grandson and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Louise Nolan; brothers, Tex (Fredia) and Gene; sisters, Jane (John), Oma Burson and Novella (Leo); children, Bobby (Teresa), Robbie (Scarlet), Mark (Liz), Sandy (Gene), and Matt (Becky); 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 19 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Shariff Elmease officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
