Ralph Harvey

Ralph Harvey, age 80, of Dunlap, surrounded by his adoring family, gained his wings and went to heaven on Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was a faithful member of Lewis Chapel Church of God. 

He was preceded in death

by his first wife, Wilma Nale Harvey; second wife, Mildred Skyles Harvey; parents, Papa Jim and Mama Rosie Harvey; sisters, Maybelline, Vena, Edna, and Geraldine; and brothers, Jack and Bruce.

He is survived by his four daughters, Donna Harvey Long of Dunlap, Sherry (Barry Sr.) Long of Soddy Daisy, Shelia (Ernie) Thomas of Dunlap and Elaine (Clark) Nolan of Dunlap; five grandchildren, Barry Long Jr., Christy Thomas, Hope (Bryan) Stewart, Nick (Dana) Long, and Megan (Rick) Sutherland; 11 great-grandchildren, whom he adored, Patrick Ryan Camp, Wilma Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Emily Thomas, Braden Lockhart, Sarah Thomas, Bryley and Teagan Stewart, Chance and Ella Long, and Fox Sutherland; two sisters, Rosa Lee Cain of Dunlap and Aliene Layman, of Hixson; two brothers, Wilburn Harvey of Chattanooga and Werner Harvey of Soddy Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services were held Sunday, September 13 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial was in Shubird Cemetery.
