Johnnie Higgenbottom

Johnnie Lee Higgenbottom, 78, of Dunlap, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecil Ozella Prater Higgenbottom; brother, Austin Higgenbottom; and sister, Katherine Smith.

Survivors include his sons, Johnnie D. Higgenbottom, Austin (Kathy) Higgenbottom, and Greg (Glenda) Higgenbottom, all of Dunlap; daughters, Tammy (Wayne) Farley, Dunlap, and Paula (Edward) Smith, Soddy-Daisy; mother of his children, Dorothy R. Smith, Dunlap; sisters, Corine Smith, Powells Crossroads, Peggy Joyce Sanders, Dunlap, and Treva Eggert, Whitwell; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Howell Whited officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday before the service. 

Johnnie and Ozella will be laid to rest together in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
