Jeneane Payne

Jeneane Payne of Chattanooga died on Monday, February 9, 2015 in a local hospital.

Born in Dunlap to George and Gladys Bryant, she attended Virginia Intermont College and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Herbert Payne; and daughter, Patti Kontovich.

Survivors include her sons, Alan and Rob (Shelby) Payne; grandchildren, Emily (Clay) Hendren, Patrick (Lindsey) Kontovich and Trent Kontovich; great-grandchildren, Ebin and Annabelle Hendren and Benton Kontovich; sister, Eleanor (Ernest) Kelley; brother, Carlyle (Arbutus) Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 12 at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Burial followed at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
