J.T. Hargis

J.T. Hargis, 84, of Dunlap died at Erlanger Sequatchie on Sunday, November 30, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Standifer and Lillie Williams Hargis; three brothers,  Claude, Bill and Carl Hargis; four sisters, Bertha Mae Morgan, Ollie Belle Wallace, Lola Ann Laymon and Martha Ann Hobbs; and step-son, Wayne Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Balasie Hargis; two sons, Edward and Robert Hargis of Dunlap; brother, Donnie (Barbara) Hargis of Dunlap; step-children, Lynn and John Fitzgerald of Dunlap; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The body was cremated. Memorial services were held Wednesday, December 3 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Boston officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network, P.O. Box 98, Dunlap, TN 37327.
