William Eugene Almond 88, of Dunlap passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
He was a devout Christian man who was a member of Hwy 28 Church of God. He was retired from the United States Air Force.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Emma Inez Massengale Almond; his parents and his brother, Charles Almond.
Survivors include his daughters, Kim (Doug) Smock of Illinois, and Lora (Greg) Dawson of Dunlap; grandchildren, Jacob and Jonathan Smock and Courtney and Daniel Dawson; godson, Gene (Carol) Raynes and daughter, Emylee Holmes; several nieces and nephews.
A casual celebration of his life was held Friday, November 14 at Hwy 28 Church of God with Bro. Dan Rains and Bro. Larry Dishman officiating with a dinner following in the fellowship hall.
He was buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
