Maxine Boston Miller

Maxine Boston Miller, 70, of Signal Mountain passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga.

She was a member of Hopewell Road Baptist Church and was a gifted artist who loved to paint, draw and read. She was a loving mother and spirited and positive lady. She was well-known by her church family for her coconut cakes.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dawson Grant; parents, Joe D. and Juanita Boston; three sisters, Billie Louis Boston, Joann Lanier and Mary Lee Higdon; and brother, Danny Ray Boston.

She is survived by her three daughters, Shannon Miller of Signal Mountain, Kim Garner of Sherwood and Cheryl Wineland of Panama, Oklahoma; two sons,  Dale Grant of Warrior, Alabama and David Grant of Dunlap; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Sue Harvey of Dunlap, Margie Harvey of Lewis Chapel and Geraldine Morton of Signal Mountain; two brothers, Ricky and Isaac Boston, both of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 21 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dennis Boston officiating. Burial was in Hixson Cemetery.
