Bettie Jo Bishop

Bettie Jo Bishop, 69, of Signal Mountain was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. She was a faithful member of Lone Oak Church of God and a leader of the ladies prayer group. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Julie Williams; brother, Bill Williams, all of Benton; and sister, Louise Brannon, of Cleveland.

Survivors include her sisters, Joann Cross of Benton and Ester Mickel of Cleveland; children, Pamela (Steve) Sullivan, Debbie (Everette) Lofty, both of Whitwell, Connie Britt of Dayton, Cindy (J.D.) Vandergriff of Whitwell, and Doug (Heather) Bishop of Signal Mountain; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 28 in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Glen Key and Rev. Byron Henderson officiating. Burial was in Sawyer Cemetery. 

The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for all the loving support that nurse Doug Albritton showed to her.
