Roselee Land Smithers

Roselee Land Smithers was born October 2, 1921 in Dunlap and passed from this life on June 27, 2014 at Rain Tree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville. 

She was a homemaker, a former employee of Levi Strauss Company and a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Mason and Vergie Brown Land; husband, Maurice Smithers; sisters, Lizzie Seals, Maebelle Long and Lucille Myers; brothers, Arcie Land, Thomas Land, Isaac Land and Franklin Land; and son-in-law, James M. Martin.

Survivors include daughters, Virginia (James) Fishel, Christeen (John) Kaylor and Deborah Martin; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Crouch, Jason (Suzanne) Haley and Marisa (Brian) Hefflefinger; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Chrishelle) Crouch, Brandon and Hailey Cooper, and Austin and Ellie Hefflefinger; a sister, Mary Sullivan, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 30 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David McMinn officiating. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery.
