Anna Faye Harmon
Anna Faye Harmon, 77, of Dunlap went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
She graduated from Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing in 1958 and worked at Sequatchie General Hospital for 36 years and then worked as a Registered Nurse with the Sequatchie County School System until retiring. She was a proud member of American Business Women’s Association for 31 years and the first recipient of the Woman of the Year award in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wayne Harmon Sr.; parents, Grady and Gladys Lucille Lockhart Hobbs; grandson, Joshua Daniel Farley; granddaughter, Harley Marie Mooneyham; and sisters, Glennis Johnson and Avonelle Stewart.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Young and Kellie Harmon of Dunlap; son, Dennis Wayne Harmon Jr. of Dunlap; brothers and sisters, Norman “Sonny” (Velma) Hobbs, Alma Ruth Johnson, Johnny (Anna Ruth) Hobbs, Connie (Mike) Krider, Grady Bryan (Phyllis) Hobbs, and Tina (Jimmy) Newman, all of Dunlap; grandchildren, Jenni, Bryanne, Sara, Michaela, and Alivia; great-grandchildren, Josh, Ethan, Lucas, and Kyndin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brandon Gates officiating. Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
