Deanna Stanton

Deanna Faye Ellis Stanton went home to be with Jesus on April 4, 2014.

Hers was a life well lived. She was a true friend, doting Ghee-Ghee, nurturing mot-her and loving wife. Her true passion was serving the Lord with gladness. Bible study, listening to music, writing poetry, floral design and shoe shopping were among her many hobbies. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunlap. In true southern fashion, her age will forever remain a mysterious “29 and holding.”

She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years and 9 months, Ralph Edward Stanton; daughter, Raecheal Elizabeth Stanton Todd and son-in-law, Ronald Todd of Williamsburg, Virginia; and grandson, William Stanton Bell; were both the light of her life and her pride and joy. Nephew, Reagan Estes Ellis, was like a son to her and Jan Ray was her best friend in the world.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 7 at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeremy Byrd officiating.

Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com.

Standefer-Reed Funeral Home of Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.
