Freda Ruth (Smith) Morgan

Freda Ruth (Smith) Morgan, 61, of Dunlap, passed away on March 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. Freda worked for and retired from Bi-Lo after 35 years of service. She enjoyed making cakes and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Morgan; parents, Nelson and Mildred Smith; and a brother, Charles Vernen Smith.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Wanda (Joey) Johnson; step-daughter, Lesa Grant and Keith Hobbs; step-son, Tim (Denise) Grant; granddaughters, Tamara Jones, Nikia (Reggie) Shell, and Makayla Grant; grandsons, Steven Jones, Tao and Ty Johnson, and Tyler Grant; sister, Linda Hall and Brence Smith, and Imogene (Bobby) Latourette; brother, Dennis (Jackie) Smith; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of Freda’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, March 31, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday and from 2-9 p.m, on Sunday.
