Carl Collins

Carl Edward Collins, 68, of Old Hickory passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013. 

He was born in Livingston and was a 1963 graduate of Livingston Academy. He had a zest for life, loved the outdoors by fishing, boating and camping, cherished his family and friends, enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Peaches, and never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by all.

His parents, Ed and Nola Collins; and sister, Helen Collins Hamilton, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife,  Rita Henry Collins; two sons,  Chris Collins and wife Paige of Boca  Raton, Florida and Scott Collins of Henderson, Nevada; three grandchildren, Taylor and Carson Collins of Boca Raton and Peyton Collins of Henderson; brother, Darrell Collins and wife Tonna of Murfreesboro.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 14 in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Carl’s honor to the American Cancer Society.

Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens of Old Hickory was in charge of arrangements.
