Sue Myers

Sue Chatfield Myers, born October 5, 1934 in High Splint, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2013.
She grew up in Pleasant View, Kentucky and graduated from East Tennessee Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.
She worked as a registered nurse from 1956 to 1990 in several areas, including the polio ward in Gary, Indiana, the operating room in Corbin, Kentucky and ICU and CCU, Pediatrics as a house supervisor. Her passion was the labor and delivery department and nursery at Blount Memorial Hospital.
She was devoted and loving to all of her family and friends. She was an avid basketball fan and also enjoyed camping and cooking for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luke Myers; her parents, Tom and Minnie (Bird) Chatfield; brother, Fred Chatfield; sisters, Loraine and Kenneth Burst, Martha Ravenna; and brother-in-law, Harold Taylor.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Kathy) Myers and Bruce Myers; two daughters, Anita (Allen) Barker, and Rebecca (Mike) Morris; nine grandchildren, Matthew Myers and wife Lucretia, Ashlee Ivens and husband David, Katherine and Melanie Barker, Lauren, Summer, Anna, Mikah and Luke Morris; two great grandchildren, Landon and Lillian Myers; sister, Faye Taylor and a brother-in-law, Hal Ravenna; many nieces and nephews who were also very special to her.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 9, at the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
