Marie Sapp

Marie B. Sapp, 65, of Pikeville died Sunday, November 10, 2013. 

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She retired as a registered nurse from Cumberland Medical Center where she was the nurse manager of the medical surgical floors at CMC. She took great pride in working to help the less fortunate.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Burgess.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Sapp of Pikeville; daughter, Julia (Steve) Miller of Dayton; sons, Chad (Jaclyn) Sapp of Pikeville and Nick (Tanya) Sapp of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Alexis, Raven, Eli, Blake, Zayde and Noah; father, Buddy (Joan) Burgess of Pikeville; brother, Randall (Brenda) Burgess of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Brenda Pennington of Crossville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 13 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Ashburn officiating.
