Jim Laymon

Jim Laymon, 69, of Cartwright passed away Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2013, at NHC Healthcare. He was a Vietnam Veteran.

His parents, John and Opal Laymon; and sisters, Judy Laymon and Arlene Gamble, preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons, Johnny Laymon of Dunlap and Jessie Laymon of Chattanooga; two grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Grayson of Powell’s Crossroads, Shirley Prestel of Whitwell, Delores Morgan of Cartwright and Faye (Robbie) Brady of  Daus; brother, Jerry Laymon of Trenton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Saturday, October 19 at Valley Community Church with Rev. Matt Henderson officiating.
