Valerie Thompson Anthony

Valerie Thompson Anthony of Greer, South Carolina passed away on September 2, 2013. 

A former resident of Rossville, Georgia, she was a graduate of Gordon Lee High and Dalton College. She was a precious lady with many talents and much compassion. She will be sorely missed until that day we are all reunited in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Harry Thompson; and grandparents, Morris and Mabel Barnes and Clyde and Mildred  Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Ireland Collins (Hutch); mother and step-father, Nancy and Alan Ledford; brother, Jim Thompson (Renee) of Dunlap; special aunt and uncle, Juanita and David Storey, Carolyn and Larry Hill; several cousins who were very special to her; several nieces and nephews; special lifelong friend, Debbie Radford of Ooltewah; and many friends in both South Carolina and Georgia.

Memorial services were held Saturday, September 28 at Taylors First Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Harley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, she requested donations in her memory to Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 W. Main Street, Taylors, SC 29687.
