Bettye Long
Bettye Long, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013.
A native of Chattanooga, she was the daughter to the late Clyde L. and Nettie L. Harvey Pass.
For many years she was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Central Baptist Church in Woodmore and was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunlap.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin E. Long Sr. and great grandson Hunter J. Gattis.
Bettye is survived by her three children: Peggy Ann Ball and husband T.R., Gloria Rollins and husband Charlie, and Marvin “Eddie” E. Long Jr. and wife Jennifer; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 Wednesday EST and 12 to 1 Thursday at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel.
Services for Bettye will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeremy Byrd officiating.
Interment will follow to Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
