Bruce Austin

Bruce Austin, 70, of Whitwell, formerly of Dunlap, passed away on August 26, 2013.

He was retired from C&D Pipeline in Tucson, Arizona and was of the United Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bette Austin; parents, Lowell and Ruth Austin; three sisters, Lois Kilgore, Mary Don Sims and Bobbie Camp; and three brothers, Ray Sr., Jimmy and Recie Austin Sr.

Survivors include his sister, Jannie Vee Camp of Dunlap; two brothers, Sammy (Mickey) Austin of Rossville, Georgia and Johnny (Mary Lou) Austin of Tucson; daughter, Beverly (Junior) Harden of Dunlap; granddaughter, Leslie Ann Clendenen of Dunlap; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 29 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Helenthal officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.
