Alma Campbell Greene

Alma Campbell Greene, 90, a McMinnville resident and Pikeville native, was born April 13, 1923 and died August 19, 2013 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. 

A retired legal secretary and court reporter and member of Arlington Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Belle Turner Campbell. She was a 1942 graduate of the Wiley School of Business in Chattanooga. She worked for Judge Charles D. Haston for many years. She was married to Howard Greene who preceded her in death.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Greene; ten brothers and seven sisters. 

Mrs. Greene is survived by two daughters, Eunice Dowd of Douglasville, Georgia and Lois Rhea of Watkinsville, Georgia; three granddaughters, Melissa Rhea of Kansas City, Missouri, Jessica Young of Pocatello, Idaho and Erin Hight of Rome, Georgia; grandson, Michael Rhea of Marietta, Georgia; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Acuff of Soddy-Daisy, Carolyn Acuff of Loganville, Georgia and Frances Lane of San Diego, California and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 22 at Arlington Church of Christ with Charles Pearson and Jerry Roberts officiating. Burial was in Johnson-Lewis Cemetery in Dunlap.

   Ewton Funeral Home of Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.
