Nola “Nanny” Layne Turner, 80, of Scottsville, Kentucky died at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at her residence. The Whitwell native was a self-employed seamstress and former employee of Apex Apparel.
She was the wife of the late Robert David Dotson and Louie Ray Turner.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Penny Patterson; four brothers, Larry, Kenneth, David and an infant brother; and sister Iretta Fuller Grant.
She is survived by two daughters, Robbie Stinson and husband, Jimmy of Scottsville, Kentucky and Teresa Dotson and fiancé, Tony Duke of Adolphus, Kentucky; one step-daughter, Renotia Layne and husband, Andy of Dunlap; two brothers, Buddy Gene Layne and wife, Gladys, Billy Con Layne and wife Betty, all of Dunlap; two sisters, Judy Duffey of Dunlap and Dorothy Holland and husband, Robert, of Pikeville; six grandchildren, Renay Patterson, Billy David Patterson and wife, Tonya; Felicia Lee and husband. Jeremy; Deidre Basham, Adam Basham and Brianna Basham; two step-grand-children, Amanda Wilder and Jessica Layne; special extended family, Patty Jo Webb and Gary Pearson of Scottsville, Kentucky, and Missy Poland of Oak Ridge.
Funeral services were held August 6 at the funeral home with Bro. Tony Atwood officiating and burial was in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Goad Funeral Home in Scottsville, Kentucky.
