Paul J. Studer, 88, of Dunlap, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his residence.
He was born June 28, 1925 in Sugarcreek, Ohio. He retired as owner of Sequatchie Valley Coal Corporation, served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. John F. Studer; wife, Norma Jean Studer; a daughter Nancy Studer and son, John Studer.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Sue Studer of Morrison, Jim and Rhea Studer of Signal Mountain, and Randy and Ronda Studer of Dunlap; grandchildren, Paul David Studer of Rock Island, Abby and Ben Garrison, and Jack and Caitlin Studer; a great-grandchild, Kate Studer; and a brother, Dale F. Studer, all of Chattanooga.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lorin Pedigo officiating. Burial was in Gardens of Memory.
