Myron Burk Miller

Myron Burk Miller, 73, of Signal Mountain, departed this life on June 27, 2013.

He was born on February 8, 1940 to the union of Vernie and Christine Miller in Sequatchie County, where he remained his entire thoughtful and wonderful life. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was discharged with honors after sustaining injuries during a training exercise. He was retired from Quaker Oats in Chattanooga and served with the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office and Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office for many years as a reserve officer. Serving as a law enforcement office was one of the things that he most enjoyed and took pride in. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernie Miller; mother, Christine Hartman Miller; and sister, Vernice Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Philip (Shannon) Miller and Mark (Sherri) Miller; grandchildren, Laura Watts, Colby Miller, Christina Miller, Breanna Miller, Austin Miller and Darrus Miller; siblings, Joyce Stewart, Awdley Miller, Winnona Pikus, Ivan Miller and Edwin Miller.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 30 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Donald Camp officiating. Burial was in Thans Chapel Cemetery.
