Charles Alder

Charles “Junior” Alder, 88, of Whitwell passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Viola Alder; parents, Jasper and Grace Alder; sisters, Louise Downey and Nellie Wallace; brothers, Paul Alder, Elbert Alder and Merle Alder; granddaughter, Brandy Poe; and great-grandson, Isaac Hamilton.

Those left to cherish his memories are seven children, Charles Alder, Bobby Wayne Alder, Virginia Ann Moore, Nadine Hill, Frances Marie Dagnan, Judy Poe and Victor Mack Alder; sisters, Betty Tambro, Barbara Nunley, Rachel Jones and Margaret Casteel; brothers, Roger Alder, Joe Alder and Sam Alder; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jasper.
