Loree Fanning Land, 93, of Greenwood, Mississippi, formerly of Dunlap, died at her residence, Friday, April 12, 2013.
She was born November 23, 1919 to the late Bartley and Artelia Griggs Fanning in Texas and resided in Greenwood for the past 47 years. She worked for Meachum Fabrics and retired from The Fabric Store in Greenwood. She was a member of Greenwood Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing and church activities.
Her husband, Thomas Henry Land, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Lilly) Land, Jr. of Carrollton, Mississippi and Gary (Anna Lou) Massengale of Dunlap; two brothers, Earnest (Bonita) Fanning and Bill (Etta) Fanning, both of Arizona; three grandchildren, Holland (Mary) Griffis, Hugh and Will Land; and two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Charles Ryan Land.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 17 in Camp Cemetery.
