Cora Land Ewton

Cora Land Ewton, 95, of Dunlap died at NHC Healthcare in Dunlap on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. She was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Rudolph “Doc” Ewton; grandson, Gregory Thomas Holland; sons-in-law, Tony Nelson and Jackie Holland; brothers, Woodrow Land and Waldo Land; and sister, Willie Mae McDowell.

Survivors include her son, John W. (Inez) Ewton of Dunlap; daughters, Loretta Holland of Dunlap and Jean Nelson of Woodstock, Georgia; sister, Louise Sims of Dunlap; five grandchildren, Sherri Boston, Lisa Hix, Tim Nelson, Tammy Bishop, John W. Ewton, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren, Brittany Holland, Cody and Cory Hix, Jessica and Baylee Nelson, Delaney Bishop, Jordan and Nicholas Ewton; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Friday, April 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Lanny Tate officiating. Burial will be in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
