Mack White

Mack White, 85, of Dunlap passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Franklin, then moved to Knoxville, where he met the love of his life. They moved to Dunlap, where they raised their family. He was a founding member of the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Fairy White; sisters, Leo White, Aliene Ryan, Jenny Waters, Willie C. Merritt and Betty Jean Lankford; and brothers, Johnny White and Joe White.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Evelyn Wilson White; three daughters, Sue Manley, Jeanette Payne and Karen (Ralph) Green; one son, David White; six grandchildren, Chris (Nelly) Payne, Cindy (Sandy) Wood, Greg (Jane) Heard, Stephanie (Don) Little, Travis (Amanda) Manley and Justin (Rolanda) Green; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Oscar White Jr. of Franklin.

Memorial services were held Sunday, February 24 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Terry Barker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad.
