Chester Allen Cranfill, 14, of Dunlap died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was of the Church of God faith and a student at Sequatchie County High School.
His grandfathers, Wayne Cranfill and Buddy Turner; grandparents, Harry and Willie May Hazelton; and uncle, Chester Cranfill, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his father, James (Heather) Cranfill and mother, Stephanie (Michael) Walling of Dunlap; siblings, Brooke, Mallory, Emma and Irelyn Cranfill and Kaylie Hale, all of Dunlap and Zane Smith of Spencer; grandparents, Judy and Ed Gee of Pikeville; step-grandmother, Renee Cranfill; grandmother, Betty Lou Idema of Pikeville; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Cindy Grant, Sonya and Stoney Olendorf and Stacy and Tonya Turner; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 12 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Collier Cemetery.
