Janie Smith

Janie Katherine Higgenbottom Smith, 81, of Rossville, Georgia died Thursday, September 20, 2012. She was a member of East Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Smith; parents, John and Nina Higgenbottom; brother, Austin Higgenbottom; and grandson, Scott Parker.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn Casson (RT) Worsham of Panama City, Florida, Debbie Smith Roberts and Darla Smith Hathcock, both of Rossville; Vivian (Jerry) Frizzell of Dunlap; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Ben) Sanders Jr. of Dunlap, and Corine Smith and Treva Eggert, both of Whitwell; and brother, Johnny Lee Higgenbottom of Dunlap.

Graveside services were held Saturday, September 22 at Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens with Rev. T.L. Smith officiating.
